Poles and Indians sleep too little!!

A global survey of Redear's Digest shows that Polish people sleep too little in comparison with other countries of the world, less that 6 hours a day.

To the question of the Reader's Digest in the most countries, 'how long you sleep?', most oftem respondents said that they sleep recommended 7 hours or more a day. Unfortunately, in Poland the most respondents (39%) said that they had 6-7 hours of sleep, at the same time in compare to other countries, the biggest number of respondents in Poland - 23% - indicated that they sleep less than 6 hours. India has also similar result. Next in order is Malaysia, where 19% sleep less.

The longest sleepers are French. 23% French sleep more than 8 hours a day and 34% between 7-8 hours. Brazilians also value their sleep (21% sleep more than 8 hours, 39% 7-8 hours).

Interesting is the fact that it is man who is more tend to sleep long or less. In India, where almost one fourth of the respondents declared less than 6 hours of sleep, not a single woman participating in the survey declared that she sleeps more than 8 hours.

The Polish results are not encouraging. Perhaps we too often try gain time by shortening sleep. And that's bad business. The researchers have alarmed that not rested body is more prone to illness, and a little slept person work slowly and badly, said Anna Esden Tempska, the chief editor of the Polish version of the Reader's Digest. In addition, as research shows, too little sleep fattens.

Reader's Digest, a monthly magazine, is the most popular magazine in the world, with 80 million readers. It publish in 50 countries and in 20 languages.
