Scientists: Work-break is good for heart

Frequent break at work prevent obesity and heart disease, it resulted from the research of the Australian Scientists, which was informed by the European Heart Journal.
Team of Dr. Genevieve Healy from the Australian University of Queensland analyzed the data related with 4757 people aged 20 and more, who took part in the US National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey between 2003-2006.
Participants carried a tiny device, which recorded their movements, and also measured waist size, blood pressure, level of cholesterol and blood fat.
As results show, a move away from your working place even just for a minute - stand up, move around, climbing stairs - is very useful as it help in prevention of obesity and heart problem.
So, in spite of sending mail over computer, one should go to the colleagues, instead of using lift should use stairs, advise researchers. It will not reduce productivity anyway.
It is another work which shows that a prolonged sitting can be harmful for health. It is known that such lifestyle will increase your waist size and decrease the level of normal cholesterol.
